Installation

1. UNBOX

Remove Sprout from its packaging.

2. REMOVE CARTRIDGE

Remove the sink stopper and cartridge.

3. SLEEVE REMOVAL

Hand twist the basin nut to remove. Discard the hand tighten warning paper ring (yellow).

Detach the sleeve (green), the rubber sleeve gasket (black) and discard the cardboard insert.

4. BASIN INSTALLATION

Remove the white adhesive backer and apply the gasket to the sink. Next, place the stainless steel basin into the sink.

NOTE: Plumber’s putty (½" thick rope) can be used in place of the basin gasket. Be sure to push down from the top to set in place.

5. SLEEVE INSTALLATION

Place the sleeve gasket into the sleeve and hold it to the underside (bottom) of the sink. Tighten the basin sleeve nut by hand. Correct gasket compression is achieved when you can no longer tighten the basin nut with your fingers.

DO NOT use a wrench.

6. TAILPIECE INSTALLATION

Install the tailpiece gasket and tailpiece. Use the dishwasher tailpiece if a dishwasher drain line (⅝") connection is needed or use the plain tailpiece if no dishwasher drain line connection is needed. Tighten the tailpiece by hand. Correct gasket compression is achieved when you can no longer tighten the drain sleeve with your fingers.

7. P-TRAP INSTALLATION

Connect your P-trap (1 ½") to the Sprout tailpiece, then plumb to the drain line. You may need to cut your tailpiece (if too long) or purchase a new P-trap kit (if too short).

If a dishwasher is present, connect the hose to the horizontal tailpiece dishwasher connection. (⅝")

DO NOT overtighten.

8. LEAK TEST

Place the cartridge back into the sink drain. Run the water lightly and inspect the assembly below for leaks.

Install the sink stopper, then fill half of the sink with water. Turn off the water and remove the sink stopper. While the water drains, inspect the assembly below for leaks. If leaking, tighten joints and repeat until no leaks occur.

PRO TIP: Place a dry layer of paper inside the sink cabinet to more easily spot leaks.
